The three campaigns with overall 33 missions are set during WWII and include a story: The German campaign and the Russian campaign deal with the development of two strategists (General Manstein and Marshall Schukow) while the British campaign is set in Eastern Asia.Regarding general gameplay the game closely follows Blitzkrieg: The player has a restricted amount of units which he uses to reach the missions goals.Every unit has is special uses and weaknesses which needs to be considered in the tactical consideration.
The game uses script sequences to bring surprises and unusual tasks on the table, e.g. The main troop receive experience points and can be equipped before a mission.
